U$X Federal Credit Union is offering a NEW consumer-friendly service that provides an alternative to payday lending. U$X Federal Credit Union has a strong commitment to helping members manage their financial needs without resorting to high-cost products such as payday lending.

Better Choice Loan Program Guidelines:

1. Minimum age of 18.
2. Must be a member for 90 days (3 months).
3. Need no credit score for approval.
4. Must be a member in good standing.
5. One Better Choice Loan at a time.
6. $25.00 applications fee – may be financed.
7. 18% annual percentage rate.
8. $500.00 maximum loan payout in cash.
9. $50.00 deposit to savings (on hold until loan is paid in full).
10. Maximum 90 day loan term (repayment is the same as your payroll schedule – 3 monthly, 7 bi-weekly, 6 semi-monthly or 13 weekly payments).
11. Loan repayment – must be automated – must have an established Payroll Deduction or Direct Deposit.  First payment due date must coincide with payroll deposit date.
12. A minimum of 3 hours of Balance Financial Counseling before a second Better Choice Loan may be disbursed.
