The Board of Directors and Staff would like to welcome the following new companies, associations and their employees or members to USX FCU:
Drew’s Family Restaurant
Kolankowski Insurance Agency
Meadowcrest Healthcare &
Rehabilitation United States Products Company
Remember if your co-workers are not yet members of USX FCU, you can get paid for introducing them to the credit union. Ask our staff how.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
My name is Mark Volponi and I’m the President and CEO of USX Federal Credit Union.
I joined the credit union in 2005 as Vice President – Finance. Prior to being named President and CEO, I held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President. Before joining the USX FCU family, I worked for 20 years in community banking; primarily as Chief Financial Officer for a bank and its parent company. All combined, I have approximately 35 years in the financial services industry.
Despite these many years of service, nothing could prepare us for the events that have transpired this year related to COVID-19. The economic impact has been devastating at both the national and local levels. Unfortunately, the economic forecasts indicate that these difficult times may continue well into the year 2021 and perhaps beyond.
Although most all of our offices are now open, we continue to take many different actions to help protect our employees and members. We very much appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement these changes and apologize for any inconvenience they may cause.
Remember that you can always take advantage of our many FREE electronic and online delivery services:
Through these channels, you can check balances, transfer funds, deposit checks, pay bills and apply for loans. If you are not enrolled in these services, visit our website www.usxfcu.org or call us at 1-888-219-3159 for assistance. Please remember that USX FCU is your credit union and that we are here to help and support you with your financial needs. If you have been negatively impacted by COVID-19, please reach out to us for any assistance we may be able to provide. Call 1-888-219-3159 or email: info@usxfcu.org.
Be well and be safe.
Sincerely, Mark A. Volponi
President & CEO
Due to periodic changes to the Expedited Funds Availability Act implemented by the Federal Reserve System to adjust for inflation, USX FCU has updated our Membership and Account Agreement. These changes are effective as of July 1, 2020. You can obtain a copy of these updated disclosures by visiting one of our branch offices for a booklet or viewing them now.
We are anticipating that the pandemic will be contained and as a society we will be moving toward a more “normal” routine both in business and our daily lives as we approach the fall. To provide our members ample advance notification, we have rescheduled the USX FCUs 81st Annual Meeting.
Our members are invited to attend this yearly event. The annual meeting is your chance to hear about the credit union’s successes in the past year and the challenges facing it in the future. Many important decisions are made regarding your credit union at the Annual Meeting each year. And you can have a say in those decisions by attending and voicing your opinion. This opportunity only comes along once a year…don’t miss out on it!

Zoom was hosting 10 million users before the COVID-19 pandemic, now the number has increased to 300 million meeting participants. This increase in usage has also placed Zoom under the microscope, revealing numerous security and privacy issues.
For most people who are using Zoom to communicate with their families and friends, the platform is relatively safe. Zoom has been working around the clock and has responded quickly to the security issues that have been reported, and continues to publish feature, security, and privacy enhancements.
Remember that NO online platform is (or ever will be) 100% secure. There is no such thing as a completely secure anything. There will always be risk in using an application, platform, or device connected to the internet. However, there’s always a way to mitigate your risk.
Tips for Using Zoom Securely If you’re using Zoom, either for business or personal use, please follow these steps to secure your Zoom meetings:
The web-version of Zoom not only gets updates faster (no installation on the user end), but also sits in a sandbox via the browser and doesn’t have the same permissions to your devices as the application version.
