Recently, a friend of mine called me to discuss the credit union and the money saving benefits he’s heard me talk about over the years. He told me that he wasn’t happy with his current banking relationship and after listening to me talk about the credit union, he wanted to see if the credit union was for him.
Of course, we discussed all of the FREE account services that we offer, such as checking accounts, savings accounts, ATM/Visa debit cards with 90,000 surcharge free ATMs, share certificates, IRAs and financial planning services. Also, the wide range of lending products available – personal loans, new and used vehicle loans, home equity loans, AND our VISA credit card, with our fixed interest rates and unlimited Uchoose Rewards. Although he had heard me talk about the credit union for years, he was blown away as he realized that USX FCU is a full service financial institution that can help him with just about anything he would need financially.
What really impressed him were our FREE digital and remote services. He travels quite a bit for business and primarily is banking remotely. He was amazed that the credit union could offer all of the remote services that the large commercial banks offer. Everything from 24/7 online banking, online bill pay, a mobile banking app for both iPhone and Android, remote check deposit and e-statements. He was also impressed with our ability to close our members’ consumer loans remotely via e-signature. And we do this all free of charge!
His last question to me was, “so if I have direct deposit of my paycheck coming to USX FCU, you’re telling me that I would not have to stop into one of your offices if I didn’t want to?” My answer to him was, we want our members to bank how they want to bank. If they want to visit an office, we’re available. If they want to bank remotely, they can. If they want to bank remotely, but visit every once in a while, they can do that as well. Bottom line, it’s our member’s choice of how they want to bank, and I believe we have everything they need to bank their way.
As we hung up the phone, he asked me to have one of our staff contact him to open his account. At last check, he is a new member of USX FCU and in his first few months of membership. He is very pleased with the service he has received and the high quality of the electronic services his credit union offers.

An election to fill three vacancies on the USX FCU® Board of Directors will be held at the Annual Meeting. The location of the meeting will be announced in the very near future. No nominations will be accepted from the floor.
A Nominating Committee appointed by the Chairman will nominate candidates for election to the Board of Directors. The Nominating Committee will select one nominee for each vacant seat on the Board.
Interested members can become a candidate for Board Membership by requesting a “Petition Packet” from the Nominating Committee. The “Petition Packet” will require the member to obtain the name, address, account number and signature from 1% of the membership as of the previous year-end. The petitioner must submit the complete packet to the Nominating Committee by December 6, 2023. The Nominating Committee will then validate the candidate and verify the information submitted in the “Petition Packet”.
Once the Nominating Committee has approved the candidates, the names of all qualified candidates running for election to the Board will appear on the ballot at the Annual Meeting. A short biography of each candidate will appear in the next quarter’s newsletter. The members present at the Annual Meeting will vote to determine who will serve on the Board of Directors.
Any member of the credit union at least 18 years of age may qualify to serve on the Board of Directors. If you have an interest in serving, you may request a “Petition Packet” by writing to:

Cybercriminals use images in phishing emails to impersonate real organizations. By using images like official logos and promotional materials, cybercriminals hope to trick you into thinking the email is legitimate.
In a recent scam, cybercriminals have been spoofing Delta Airlines to try to steal sensitive information. The body of the email consists of one large image. The image includes Delta’s logo, a photograph of one of their planes, and an image of a gift card. The email has a message promising a gift card if you act fast and click the image. After clicking the image, you’ll be redirected to a malicious website with a login page. If you enter your login credentials, cybercriminals will have access to your sensitive information.

ProPay is the NEWEST convenient service provide by USX FCU! ProPay is a real-time, secure payment solution that will provide you the convenience of making loan payments quickly and easily to any loan you have at USX FCU. You’ll be able to make your payment(s) using your debit card or your account at another financial institution!
To make a payment, look for the “Make A Payment” button on our website homepage. By clicking the button, you will be directed to our ProPay login screen where you’ll establish your ProPay account. Have your email address and last four digits of your social security number available to set-up your account. Once your account is set-up, follow the easy directions to make your payment!
Although easy and convenient, ProPay is not a free service. You will be charged a $10.00 fee for each loan payment made through ProPay. Remember, if you are making payments to your USX FCU loan(s) by utilizing our online banking and bill pay to make your USX FCU loan payment(s), you will avoid the fee and make your payment(s) for free.

To receive the promotional interest rate, you must have an active U$X FCU checking account with net check direct deposit. Members that open a new checking account and sign up for net check direct deposit may qualify for an additional $100 new account bonus. Existing checking accountholders with net check direct deposit will qualify for promotional interest rate; however, will not receive the new account bonus.
